  1. This note pertains to the archive sets.
  2.  
  3. Archive1-archive5 are pretty much unorganized. They go back to 1988 or
  4. so and unfortunately do not have a date field in most messages. 
  5.  
  6. Archive 5 terminated on July 26, 1990
  7. Archive 6 started on July 27, 1990 and ended on Dec 28, 1990.
  8. Archive 7 started on Dec 29, 1990 and ended on April 12, 1991.
  9. Archive 8 started on April 12, 1991 and ended on October 25, 1991.
  10. All archive?.Z are compressed. Use binary mode to transfer.
  11.  
  12. The current activity of the group is on ``hyperarchive.'' [If the switch
  13. has just taken place, hyperarchive will be missing.]
  14.  
  15. The file ``reqreading'' is Eugene Miya's top ten texts to read for the
  16. beginner/expert.
